IMPLEMENTATION OF A THERMOTHERAPY SYSTEM FOR THE TREATMENT OF VINE PLANTS

Due to the recent outbreaks of Xylella fastidiosa and according to the CE2015 / 2417 standard issued by the EFSA (European Food Safety Authority), it is described as the only treatment to eradicate this bacterium by treatment with hot water (HWT)

It deals with an extensive ,effective system used to eliminate parasites ( bacteria, fungus etc in vine plants as well as other crops. This technique is based on the susceptibility of the temperatura between the guest and the parasites. The Wood to be treated is put in the tank ( secondary circuit ), with the water at the programmed temperatura, by means of an independant platform. The wáter from the secondary circuit is maintained by means of the recirculation by the heat exchanger transfering the energy from the first circuit (90 °C). When the programmed time is finished the machine automatically lifts the platform and opens the tank.
